History of the Heurigen
From a small tobacconist's to a popular top wine tavern in the Weinviertel region
The roots of our Heurigen lie in a former tobacconist's in Johann Paul senior's parents' house. The success story began here with simple means, a few benches and tables and a wood-burning stove for cold days. Back then, a few wines from our own vineyard as well as lard and bacon sandwiches were offered to hungry guests - the origin of our top Heurigen.
In 1982, the company moved into the newly built restaurant, which quickly became a popular meeting place. As early as 1999, the restaurant was modernized and expanded due to the increasing number of guests. To this day, the popularity remains unbroken: Guests from near and far particularly appreciate the excellent wines and the extensive regional buffet.
Our Heuriger stands for authentic Weinviertel enjoyment, warm hospitality and an unforgettable experience in a cozy atmosphere.
